ABOUT
THIS SITE
You cannot
go far in southern New England without running into places called by the
locals "the old Nike site." This website, as well as providing general
information on the Nike program, focuses in on these Cold War-era missile
sites which ringed Boston and Providence. The site includes specific information
about each site with some omissions from a current lack of information.
The emphasis is less on tachnical details and more one what was where and
when. I would appreciate any comments, questions, war stories, etc.
This is
a first web effort so any tips will be appreciated. If you have comments
or suggestions, email me at jjmcgr@aol.com
This site
has been featured on Chronicle (WCVB TV 5 Boston) and on Townonline.
